Beate's Weekend SKetch #59

Beate's weekend sketch was a great one. I loved doing it. I grabbed my only snowflake stamp (yes, only one!) and embossed it in silver ep. Used my nestabilities to cut the scallops. I used a Fiskars Christmas punch to make the snowflake edge. It was hard work making sure all the holes lined up for the piercings. I haven't done much paper piercing so I made a few mistakes.

Halloween Cards

My first Halloween cards - All used the Studio G stamps. The square card was last weekends sketch from Beate!! I have been working on some goodies that I can't post just in case my niece Amanda comes on here!! Her baby shower is next Saturday so they might be up by then!!
Today was a crazy and fun day. Last night my girls went to their first high school football game and had two friends spend the night. One is our good friend Miss Cora and the other was Bekka - new to our town and the new Principal's daughter. Yep, I was on good behavior!! lol Then this afternoon, Diane who is from ScorPal was in our town at Treasury of Memory's scrapbook/stamp store. So, my friends Tina and stamp Katie and I headed over there. I finally have a Scor Pal!!! woo hoo. I played a while tonight and that too can't be shown yet!! lol
Have a great rest of the weekend, I am sure more will post tomorrow!

Caardvarks Live and Let DIe Challenge

Do you ever feel like your muse just up and disappeared in a fleeting moment?? Well, mine has obviously left the building. It could be that my nose is running, my cough is back and I haven't been sleeping well or it could be that fall is here and it is dreary, rainy and cold outside or it could be both!! So, Caardvarks
challenge was to use Die Cuts. So, I grabbed this pear from Debbie's Die Cuts and ran it and the background through my cuttlebug, sponged a little yellow ink on it, added the green around the back and then looked at it!! lol Finally added the SU sentiment and ribbon using purple for the background and I am not a purple person. And here it is!!! I'm thinking a nap with the 1 year old nephew sounds good!! Have a great day!

They have an 8 year old son so this will be a big change for them!! lol This chipboard is by K & Co., Brenda Walton Sweet Things. I also used my glue pad to add glitter to it. It will go to her tomorrow!!

Another Present!!

Look what I got in the mail Friday!!! A few months back my friend Tina got one of these, delivered in bubble wrap by FEDEX, while her dh, my dh and our kids were at her house!! I admit, I was a tad envious because I am really, umm, into tape!! I use a lot to make things stick!! hehe So, the other day she told me that there would be a package coming and I said ok, what did you order now?
(Ok, I need to explain why things might come to my house for her- their house was broken into 4 days before Labor Day. They broke the window into her two boys' room and literally ransacked their home. Luckily they were not home as they also have a almost 4 yr old little girl. Well, we ran right up when she called-2 mins we were there(Keith, me and the girls!) Well, that night we helped board up the window, we took the little one home and then that Sat. and Sun. I helped clean up glass. It is unbelievable how far glass goes when they use a shovel and it was the inside window and then a storm window~ well they wanted to pay me and I said no, that is what families are for - her dh and I grew up with the same backyard and our moms were best friends until my mom passed away 3 years ago.)

So, she said, no it is for you!! Oh My goodness, I love it! I love it!!! I love it!!! So, thank you my friends.

How's Everything On Your End

This is the Charlie Horse set from Clear Dollar Stamps from stamp Katie. I love it. I used CTMH Sarsaparilla dp and the tag is from the matching sticker set. I added the stars and then I thought what else can I add - then the lightbulb went off. I have this box with bows and raffia in it!! walaa, I added the raffia and I think it tied it all in.
Stamp Something's
challenge for today was Embellished Somethings so I thought this little horse card was perfect.

Limelight Sketch

Ok, I have no papers or ribbons from Limelight or any of the stamps they sell, but this morning I went to Stamp Katie's blog and she had the sketch for Limelight Papercrafts on there, so I used the sketch with my new Clear Dollar Stamp, Charley the horse. I really like how he turned out. You can see the sketch on Katie's or at Limelight Papercrafts.

Using my Nestabilities and a CASED card!!

I wanted ideas on card sketches and just how to use my circles and scallops, so while I was googling, I found Beate's website. I have seen her work before on Splitcoast but have never even thought about casing anything (CASE-copy and share everything) It is a little different, but used the same colors and the sketch of the card. Thanks Beate.

Using my Nestabilities

A few weeks ago, I got the circle and circle scallop nestabilities. I love these!! So, this weekend I played with them.

Little bluebird

Whenever I go away from home, I try to get a stamp- well, I went to Leavenworth, WA with my sister, sister-in-law, niece, great-niece who is keeping my great-great niece nice and warm until next month, last Sunday thru Tuesday to scrapbook. I only got 4 pages done, but did do some of the popper cards for my cousin. Well, Leavenworth has no rubberstamp store or scrapbook store. One paper store had some papers, inks and yucky made stamps but nothing I wanted. So, on our way back we stopped at the Ben Franklin craft store in Monroe- oh it would be nice to have one up here. I found this little bluebird stamp there. The bed and breakfast we stayed in had many hand embroidered blue birds in the sitting room and dining area so this works.

Stamp Something's Cherry Inspired

Ok, I worked hard at this one. Not this card, but the 3 I tried with black and white stripes before that are actually in the paper barrel to be burnt in the fireplace this winter!! lol
So, here is my take on Stamp Something's Cherry Inspired challenge!!
I love this little dancer. She is from a set from CTMH from a couple years ago.

Our Creative Corner Sketch Challenge

Yesterday's Our Creative Corner Sketch challenge was a nice sketch so I used my My Favorite Things set for this.
